     1st.  Gave Hay to our Cattle & Oats to our Hens now confined, &c.
13th.
     2d.  Finished off the Press the Eastern Stage Coach cards for William H. Doan.
     3d.  Margary J. adjusted the Types for a Card for Wm. McKay _______Mercht.
     8.   Adjusted Mr. Jas Leitch's account & enclosed the same ready for despatch to him.
16th.2d.  Hired a carriage and went to London.
     3d.  In London called on Mr. Small J.D.C. who was from home.
     4.   Enquired about Mr. Peck at B. Loe's Hotel.  Found that he is settled at Godrich.
     5th. Conversed with Mr. Herbert Printer & Mr. Marsh about Lavell.
     6th. Did some business at the Bank of Upper Canada.
     8.   Left a letter at the Bridge Toll Gate for Mr. Jas. Leitch.
17th May 1850.
     3d.  Received an order for Printing 30 Bills for the Sale of Farm Stock of a Mr. Johnston near 5 Stakes.
     4th.  Rec'd $4 from Hiram Smith, of Sparta, for Deeds given him on 15 Nov. last.
     5.    Wrote & despatched a Letter to the Commissioner of public lands, Toronto enclosed a Receipt in Duplicate.

     3.   Made progress in Phrenological Bills for Mr. Crane -
     4th   Admitted 3 Students to Board with us! - Davis & Jesse & John Wilson from North Street.

     3d.   Printed 54 of ½ Sheet Bills for Mr. Crane announcing Lectures on Phrenology.
     4th.   Recd. Orders for 50 Bills for Jas. Haight.
     5th.   Recd. Order for 500 Promissory Notes for Wood & Co., Fingal, per Levi Fowler, Esq.

     4.   Received an order for 50 Bills for Mr. Green & Co. Union, Cloth Factory

     4th.  Deliver 18 of ½ sheet Bills to Mr.Coughell of the Firm of Green & Coughell.
     5th.  Received an order from Mr. McIntyre, Southwold for 600 Labels for Cradle Sythes.
24 May 1850.
     8th.  After dinner two of the Students boarding in our house went to their homes on the North Street, there being no School tomorrow.
     9th.  Recd. A business letter from the Land Office.
26th May.
     The Christian Sabbath.  After dinner James C. went to London. Before dinner he took a walk with me to see our two cows in the Vales towards the North East of town -

     3.   Wrote an Address to the Legislature about the Law Courts &c.
30th.
     3d.  Wrote a while at my address to the Legislature.
     4th.  Printed 700 labels for an improved cradle Scythe for cutting down Wheat whien ripe.
     Also 174 Promissory Note Forms for Wood & Co. Fingal.
The 1st day of June 1850.
     3d.  Finished my MS copies of a Petition to the Legislature.

     3d.  Printed 54 of large 1/8 Bills for M. McKenzie.
     4.   Jas. C. went to see our Cows, but did not find them.
     5th. About Sundown I took a walk to Paul's Mill to get Flour 100 lbs. Up to our house.
     4th. Received an order for Bills from Mr. Ketchum at the Yarmouth Mills.
     7th. Mr. D. McIntyre called and received 704 Labels printed for him on 30th Ultimo. Price $3. To be paid by him down.
6th June 1850.
     1st.  Printed Bills for office use, announcing the Sale of Deeds & MS filling up to be done at this office.
     2d.  Took an excursion to the Valley & Woods N. of town in quest of our two young cows; but I could not find them.
7th day of June 1850.
     2d.  Attended to the printing of 140 Bills (1/4) for Wood & Co. at Aylmer, which delivered.
8 June 1850.
     4th.  Printed and delivered to J. & W. Coyne 100 of 1/4 Bills - $2.
10th.
     2d.  Printed 2 Doz. Copies of Joseph Forsyth's Affidavit & extract of his letter.
     3d.  Printed and delivered 25 Hat Labels (or Tips) for S.W. Thomson, Hatter, St. Thomas.

     3d.  In the Office Jas. C. did 50 of 1/8 Bills for Wool for Eltham Paul. 6/3.
     4.    Together we put off the Press 200 Summons for Messrs. Coyne.
     5th.  Finished my despatch to W.H. Merritt for presentation to the Legislature.  Letter M.S. & Printed representations.
